  4. Label and stack file boxes in an organized fashion against the outer walls of the unit to create an aisle for you to gain easy access to them.
  5. Wrap you delicate items in bubble wrap or newspaper and store them in furniture drawers.
  6. Do not store anything in your storage unit that is combustible (such as paint or chemicals) or perishables (such as food that is not totally sealed).
  7. Drain any fluids from equipment prior to storing them to prevent corrosive damage.
  8. Use protective plastic covering to cover furniture and wooden items.
  9. Use trash cans or other upright containers to hold brooms, mops and garden equipment upright.
  10. Break down furniture to it’s smallest size (such as unscrewing table legs) and store table tops on their side.
